The Wednesday Lent Group will be following the Come and See resources from the Diocese of Oxford. We will be looking at different perspectives of Holy Communion or the Eucharist, a core celebration of the church, and examining them as a means of building our faith and growing our relationship with Jesus.  There will be 5 sessions, comprising prayer, Bible reading and discussion, on Wednesdays from 25th February to 25th March from 5.30-7pm in All Saints’ Church.  Please contact Sheila Shrigley for further information. For more information about this year’s Come and See programme, which includes material for individual use as well as groups, see below and the Diocesan website: https://oxford.anglican.org/come-and-see

Further Bible Studies on the Passion Narratives

Last year a group of us met to look at the Passion narratives in the Gospels.  We began with the arrest of Jesus and followed through to his crucifixion.  But these narratives begin much earlier, with the Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.  This year we will being with the "Triumphal Entry" and look at Jesus' final week in the three Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke).  We will meet in the Church at Mondays at 5:30pm.  All are welcome.  Attendance at last year's sessions are not a prerequisite.

What is Come and See?

Each Lent, we delve into a new aspect of Christian faith - this year we're looking at the Eucharist - or Holy Communion. It's perfect for new and old Christians alike, and can be done on your own, as a family, as a church, school or in a small group.

What does it involve?

Everyone who registers receives a short daily email to reflect on, and a weekly video from Bishop Steven exploring the themes in a bit more detail. There are intergenerational activities each Sunday, so you can do it together as a family too.
